Math Facts Flower Craftivity

Math facts can be challenging for many students, but it doesn’t have to be boring. One way to make math more engaging and fun is to incorporate crafts into the learning process. One such craftivity is the math fact flower, which is an excellent activity for students to practice and reinforce their math facts while creating a colorful and visually appealing display.

What is a Math Fact Flower Craftivity?

A math fact flower craftivity is a hands-on activity that involves creating a flower using different math facts. It is a fun and interactive way for students to practice basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Materials Needed:

To complete a math fact flower craftivity, you will need the following materials:

• Flower templates (download here)
• Scissors
• Glue
• Colored paper
• Markers or crayons (if not using the colored paper)

Steps to Complete a Math Fact Flower Craftivity:

1. Print out the flower template. There are two templates included in the download: a complete flower and a separate flower. The complete flower (with the petals and stem) is for students who will color the flower by hand. The separate flower (with the petals and stem on two pages) is if you want to print each part on colored paper like shown in the example photos.
2. Choose a math fact. You can have students pick out the math fact to go in the center, or you can choose for them. Numbers 1-108 are included to give you many choices. You can use these facts for multiplication and division, addition and subtraction, or number sense.
3. Cut out and glue. Cut out the flower pieces. Glue the stem behind the petals. Glue the math fact into the center.
4. Display. You can hang up the flowers on a bulletin board. You can also glue them onto construction paper as a frame.
